What is good and what can be improved at Goar School? Two students and two teachers share their thoughts

Today we are going to interview two students and two teachers to ask them what they think about the school where they are working or studying and what changes they would like to make in it. Let’s see what they have to say.
Jana, who is in 3rd ESO currently, thinks that Goar School “is a bit advanced and new people might find it a bit hard. The teachers are all nice and if something happens to you they care about you and ask you what’s wrong. I think they could make classes a bit more fun and that would get students to interact more and it might help with their grades and improve the average intelligence of the school.”
Erick Romero (2nd ESO), thinks that teachers at Goar “teach very well but it is hard to wake up so early.” He adds that studying here “will be very good for our future.”
According to teacher Sonia Esquirol, “education has changed through the years and the teachers have had to apply new ideas and learn to use new strategies that apply more to the way that kids learn nowadays and that education isn’t a one way road and the teachers don’t know everything. Sometimes the student knows more about something than the teacher. Interaction helps more to learn, studying isn’t always the best way to learn.”
Finally, Libertad Martín, also teacher at Goar, believes that “it’s a school in which the level in general is so high. The students have good preparation here to face higher level studies. Teachers care about students so much. This center manages to improve every day, it tries to renew itself every day and keep changing. A change I would make is to eliminate classes in the afternoon, because I do not consider it is productive for the students. Also, more human resources among other things would always be positive, but in general it is a great school.”
