The “tournament of tournaments” was held from December 16th through December 19th

Paddle is very popular all over the world and is becoming very famous lately. Between December 16th and 19th 2021, the Master Final was held in Madrid, a much awaited tournament as it is “the tournament of tournaments”. This tournament started on December 16th with the quarter finals, continued on Thursday with the next quarter finals and so on until Sunday when the final was played.
The male partner number 1 advanced very easily to the final while the female circuit was eliminated in the quarter-finals, the number 2 pair was the one that reached the final very easily. On the next day, the semifinals were contested, where they faced the 1st pair of Alejandro Galán and Juan Lebrón with the 4th pair of Alex Ruiz and Franco Stupaczuk, while the female pairs faced the couple Mapi and Majo Sánchez Alayeto with the couple of Lucia Sainz and Marta Marrero.
The male semifinals were won by Alejandro Galán and Juan Lebrón with a large domain, and the female semifinals were won by Marta Marrero and Lucia Sainz. The second semifinals between Paquito Navarro and Martín Di Nenno were played against Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustin Tapia. On the women’s circuit, they faced the 2nd pair formed by Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría against Virginia Riera and Patty Llaguno. In these matches, they dominated both Agustin Tapia and Sanyo Gutierrez as well as Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría.
So there were some very interesting final ends left: Alejandro Galvenn and Juan Lebrón vs Sanyo Gutiérrez and Agustin Tapia and on the women’s circuit played Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaría against Lucía Sainz and Marta Marrero. Both matches were decided in two sets. The female party 4-6 and 2-6 and the male party 6-4 and 6-4. The female couple got quite close toworld number 1 pair, while in the male circuit the number 1 pair extended their advantage over the number 2 pair.
